The University of Hong Kong
Bachelor of Economics and Finance [BEcon&Fin]
The BEcon&Fin programme combines the strengths of both the BEcon and BFin programmes. The programme recognises the significance of economics both in its own right and as a foundation for the study of finance, and the significance of finance as a career path for student in Hong Kong. As a result, students are required to study all the core courses that are prerequisites for both the BEcon and BFin programmes.
Decision Models
This half course introduces computer-based models and their use in structuring information and supporting managerial decisions. You examine linear programming, multi-period planning models under uncertainty, non-linear programmes and Monte Carlo simulations.
Curriculum Structure
The CEIBS EMBA programme is a two-year programme offered on a part-time basis. Students meet once a month, from Friday to the following Monday. The programme curriculum offers 15 compulsory courses, 4 elective courses to choose from a wide pool of over 20 courses in different areas, and one group project. Core courses are taken mostly in the first year, with the second year devoted mainly to advanced elective courses and group research project.
