Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (BBAA)
The Accounting degree is for students interested in professional careers in the field. Jobs in accounting are found in public accounting firms and in almost all business firms and levels of government.
This Program stresses technical skills that support the four key areas of accounting: audit, cost, government and tax. Particular emphasis is given to knowing how financial data are assembled and integrated into an articulated set of financial statements, understanding techniques and procedures, and using accounting computer applications.

The Master of Public Administration degree is an interdisciplinary program which requires cooperative efforts on the part of graduate faculty in the College of Business and Public Administration, The College of Arts and Sciences, The College of Education, and the Graduate School and Research.

Admission Requirements Master of Public Administration (MPA)
In order to apply for admission to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program, applicants must forward the following materials to the Dean, Graduate School and Research:
Transcripts of all undergraduate work;
Two letters of recommendation; and
Official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) OR Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.
A prospective candidate for the MPA program may hold a bachelor's degree in any field. It is not necessary that the bachelor's degree be in public ../administration. To be admitted to the MPA program, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

The Criminal Justice Program is designed as an interdisciplinary study drawing from legal studies, mathematics, psychology, business and public ../administration. General Information
This course covers the positive and normative analyses of the public sector in relation to efficiency and equity. It provides a better understanding of the making of public policy under asymmetric information and limited commitment, and the role of incentives in public administration. Topics include: market failure, welfare criteria, public goods and externalities, social choice and voting, income distribution, public pricing and investment, cost-benefit analysis and project appraisal, and the regulation of public enterprises.

Students on non-degree status may take any graduate level public ../administration course; however, no more than twelve credits may apply towards the degree program. Students with a non-degree status may not enroll for PA690, Special Project or PA695, Thesis.
The School of Management of Shenzhen University was established in June 1997, consisting of the Department of Management, the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Soft-science£¬and now it has expaned to 5 departments. They are Dept. of Business Management, Dept. of Human Resource Management, Dept of Information and System Management, Dept of Public Administration and Dept of Marketing.

The Master of Public Administration program has 3 sequential stages: 1) the Core Courses, 2) Elective Courses, and 3) Practicum or Special Project or Thesis. All students are recommended to complete the core requirements before taking the qualifying examination or courses in the elective category. All pre-service students must take PA598 as an elective.
