This program for Chinese entrepreneurs, encompassing five modules,consists of 10 required courses and 2 elective courses, which are accomplished in a year. The instructors of the program will offer courses on the understanding of management, strategic management & decision-making, organization & leadership development, financial management and operations & information management. The students of the program are expected to have a global perspective, innovation & leadership, and seasoned judgment, and to have established a business relationship.

Management from History Program
In this program, the close combination of historical study and management science will undoubtedly provide a grand feast for entrepreneurs. Admission Detail of PhD Guanghua School of Management Peking University

Application
A master’s degree holder who has excelled in the entrance examination can be accepted by Guanghua’s four- year program. A bachelor’s degree holder who has excelled in the entrance examination can be accepted by Guanghua’s five-year program. Only students who have excelled in the entrance examination are eligible for the second round exam. The second round examination may be an interview, a written test, or a combination of the two. The students who excel in both the entrance examination and the second round exam can be accepted by Guanghua’s Ph.D. program. A master’s degree holder who is qualified for exemption from the entrance examination can also be recommended for Guanghua’s Ph.D. program.

Entrance requirements:

a) A Master’s degree with at least 1 to 2 years of work experience.

b) Good undergraduate and graduate school grades, strong references, and some research experience, with a clear interest in pursuing a scholarly career at a research oriented university.

c) A GMAT test score of 680 or higher, or a GRE test score of 1300 minimum for verbal and quantitative sections combined and a minimum of 4 for analytical writing. Scores lower than these requirements may be considered on a competitive basis.

d) Applicants who undertook their studies in a language other than English are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by providing TOEFL scores of no less than 600.

Entry requirements:
A bachelor’s or higher degree (a junior college degree is acceptable for candidates with outstanding achievements in their field);
No less than 8 years’ working experience (at least 5 years at mid-level or senior management);
Age 30-48;
Mid-level or senior executives of state-owned enterprises or foreign companies or senior executives of private corporations.

Taught against the backdrop of the Chinese and Asian business worlds, the objective of the Executive MBA (EMBA) Program is to provide systematic and rigorous training in the best management practices pursued by the world¡¯s leading organizations. The program is offered both in a standard format and as a tailor-made course. Comparing to the full-time programs, it has less quantitative analysis, and the applicants are required to have a track record of at least ten years work experiences including five years of management experience in addition to standard entrance exams. The Executive MBA Program is modular with a monthly four-day seminar and a total of 20 months are needed to complete the program.

Doctoral Programs Guanghua School of Management Peking University

Guanghua’s Doctoral Program is to educate future academic leaders in areas of applied economics and management. Currently there are two Ph.D. programs: a five-year program for those without a regular Master’s degree at the time of entrance and a four-year program for those who have already obtained a Master’s degree from a good university. The graduates of the program should achieve the level of advanced knowledge in their chosen specialty necessary to carry out original academic research, along with sufficient knowledge of other disciplines to facilitate inter-disciplinary insight; to demonstrate this research ability by producing a high-quality dissertation and academic papers; to be critical thinkers; to have well-developed ethical reasoning skills; to have a good understanding of the international business environment; and to have good preparation for a career as an effective teacher.
