Organizational behavior affects organization’s performance directly. From an organization’s foundation to its development, organizational behavior influences its members’ behavior under the control of culture and system with concept, object and vision as the core. From the angle of psychology, the course analyzes individual and organizational psychology and behavior in order to cover the course with organizational management theories and empower the students with the practical ability as well as the theoretical ability through the analysis of the real and classic cases. In a word, the course will dedicate to help the students become excellent managers or entrepreneurs in their future career so that an organization can keep its sustained improving of performance under the premise of the accordance of concept and object.

An organization consists with people and is managed by people. Thomas Peter had once said that the real resource of an enterprise or course is people and management is fully developing the human resource so as to achieve high performance. Organizational management has two main streams. One is object-responsibility-power-performance-profit and the other is selecting people-use people-evaluate people-train people-maintain people. The latter stream is the very core of the whole management and the main content of human resource management. It can also be called 5 system- analysis and planning, selecting and recruiting, evaluation, training, remuneration and motivation. The course will arranged in this order and help the students to master the human resource theories and practical skills in an overall matter with the emphasis of the key point through theoretical analysis, case discussion and real problem solving. It will pave a solid foundation for the students to do a good job in the future people oriented organizational management career.

Since the course combines organizational behavior and human resource as a whole, it has omitted some contents relative to an independent course. The organizational behavior part, with the core of organization’s behavior and motivation, achieve the teaching object through the main content of individual behavior, organization culture, leadership art, organizational design and organization development. The human resource part takes performance as its core and achieves the teaching object with the main content of job analysis, human resource planning, remuneration management, training and career development. At the end of the course, cross-culture organizational behavior, the relative human resource problems and the leading developing trend of the organizational behavior and human resource management will be emphasized.
