Students seeking candidacy status must request from the Program Chair by the first of April, July or November, an application to take the qualifying examination. Instructors teaching core courses will be responsible for preparing the qualifying examinations and evaluating them. Students who fail the qualifying examination three times will be denied program candidacy.
