Entrepreneurship and New Business Development
How to develop a successful business by taking into account the vast resources of technology is the focus of this course. But technology alone cannot create a successful business; it requires good ideas, business plans, human resources, an execution strategy, and marketing, just to name a few key components. After understanding how one should approach developing a new business, the students will be exposed to entrepreneurs who have developed businesses, from start-ups to spin-offs. This class offers a great opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience from real CEOs and key executives. At the end of the course, students will be asked to produce business plans that they can potentially convert into real businesses.

Entrepreneurship (EKM 2101)
The course introduces students to entrepreneurship, especially for small enterprises. The discussions begin with idea creation, feasibility analysis, business plan, organization, and business development. The aims of this course are to introduce students to entrepreneurship concepts, to exercise students in developing and analyzing ideas, arranging and drafting plan, organize and develop business, and to provide an opportunity for students to exercise their skills in conducting research on some small businesses.

An introduction to strategies for management of new business from an innovation viewpoint. Case studies in new business will be used to develop skills in proposing new ideas, screening, feasibility studies, and ultimately production of a complete business plan. The concept of entrepreneurship and practical skills for running a new business will be presented in this subject. Students will gain an understanding of the roles of entrepreneurial managers in developing new business opportunities and creating new management practices.

The ability to successfully develop and launch a new product into the market is one of the fundamental skills that today's business executives must understand. This course examines the most successful strategies, processes and methods used to bring a product from idea generation to market launch. Students will examine the institutional implications of new product development, barriers to success, and effective methods to drive a new product concept through the entire development cycle. Emphasis will be placed on the ability of marketing managers to integrate R&D, consumer and corporate views while guiding a product along the development
