The Faculty offers a range of short executive education programmes tailored for today’s business executives through the Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management. Some of these programmes lead to the award of certificates and diplomas and may be conducted with local and international partners. Based at our campus in Hong Kong’s downtown Admiralty Centre, these programmes provide executives with a high impact learning experience that combines the latest management research with the best practice techniques. Its programmes attract executives looking for up-to-the-minute knowledge in areas such as e-business, risk management, logistics and supply chain management, management of change, and service marketing.
The Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management was established in 1990 through a generous donation to the University from Mr. Dickson Poon to advance management education.

This course discusses the role of money in the economy, including how money affects inflation, interest rates and output and employment in both the static and dynamic contexts. Related topics are theories of money demand and supply, the conduct of monetary policy, rules vs. discretion, adaptive and rational expectations, time inconsistency, origin of money, and electronic means of payments.
Students are exposed to a global perspective when they participate in our exchange programmes with major international universities or attend summer workshops taught by visiting faculty members from leading institutions abroad. Students from our partner institutions in, for example, Mainland China, Europe, North America, and Japan also come to Hong Kong to take courses at the School of Business, further contributing to a rich and stimulating environment.

The BBA(Acc&Fin) programme provides students with a professional qualification in accounting and the broad-based education necessary for progressing towards a leadership role in the financial sector. It is an approved accountancy programme under the Professional Accreditation System of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). Graduates from the programme are eligible to qualify as professional accountants by successfully completing the Qualification Programme of HKICPA coupled with relevant experience. They are recognised by the HKICPA as accountancy degree graduates and as having fulfilled the stipulated pre-entry educational requirements.
