Research Postgraduates
The programme offers the degrees of M. Phil. and Ph. D. in full-time and part-time modes. Students may choose to specialise in accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management, marketing, and strategy. This course discusses the role of money in the economy, including how money affects inflation, interest rates and output and employment in both the static and dynamic contexts. Related topics are theories of money demand and supply, the conduct of monetary policy, rules vs. discretion, adaptive and rational expectations, time inconsistency, origin of money, and electronic means of payments.
