This course provides an introduction to the nature of risk, risk management concepts, and theories and practices of insurance. Other discussed topics are major insurance policies used by individuals and families, employee benefits and practices, insurance planning tools, and insurance as an institution (various operational aspects and the workings of the insurance industry).
