Financial Management at Business School (SIFT)

Financial Management ( Sino-Canada) four years

This speciality is set up in the joint efforts of our institute and Douglas College with the purpose to nurture the specialized personnel of compound financial management competence for China’s or foreign multinationals, enterprise groups, accounting offices, state-owned assets management companies, financial organizations. Students of this program will have convincing proficiency in English application and solid basis of professional knowledge, with strong practicing ability in financial management.

Major courses include: courses from our side: Marketing, Assets Appraisal, Project Investment Analysis, International Trusting and Leasing, Annexation and Purchasing, Fund Management, Risk Investment, Investment Law; Introduced Courses from Canada: Microeconomics, International Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Statements Analysis, Case Study in Financial Management, Money, Banking and Financial Market, Principles of Financial Accounting, Portfolio Analysis, Computerized Accounting.

Diploma: Students who finish the compulsory courses in the teaching plan and pass all the exams will be awarded the diploma of undergraduate and the degree of BA by our institute , and get the Diploma issued by Douglas college.

Curriculum Structure

The CEIBS EMBA programme is a two-year programme offered on a part-time basis. Students meet once a month, from Friday to the following Monday. The programme curriculum offers 15 compulsory courses, 4 elective courses to choose from a wide pool of over 20 courses in different areas, and one group project. Core courses are taken mostly in the first year, with the second year devoted mainly to advanced elective courses and group research project.

The total in-class hour required for the degree is 664 while the average contact hour of 77 EMBA programmes in the United States is 546 hours (including all required and elective class hours).

Programme Schedule

The two-year programme begins in late March of the entering year.
Students meet once a month, for four consecutive days from Friday morning to the following Monday afternoon.
A one-week overseas module is required in July of the entering year. Another one-week module abroad is optional.
Students graduate with their counterparts in the Chinese programme from Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen in September two years later.
