Curriculum For Business English Reading & Writing at Antai College of Economics & Management

Business English Reading and Writing course has two parts. One part is business English reading, which is designed to provide students with abundant exposure to authentic Business English texts from various sources in the field of economics and management. The intensive reading activities in and after the class are aimed to increase students’ vocabulary in the above fields and familiarize them with the contextual use of the words and phrases. This course also expects to help students to cultivate the ability of discourse analysis and style appreciation. Topics of common interest are covered in order to broaden students’ vision and build a global perspective. The other part of this course focuses on the basic writing skills needed in the real business world. This part is also intended to prepare students for the forthcoming LCCEIB Business English Level 3 Test and for the advanced business communication course in the next semester.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in classroom activities through sharing their ideas and experiences.
