Course Synopsis This course introduces students to the concepts, principles and functions
involved in developing human resource systems. These systems include
staffing, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation
as well as benefits and services.

The latter stream is the very core of the whole management and the main content of human resource management. It can also be called 5 system- analysis and planning, selecting and recruiting, evaluation, training, remuneration and motivation. The course will arranged in this order and help the students to master the human resource theories and practical skills in an overall matter with the emphasis of the key point through theoretical analysis, case discussion and real problem solving. It will pave a solid foundation for the students to do a good job in the future people oriented organizational management career.

Since the course combines organizational behavior and human resource as a whole, it has omitted some contents relative to an independent course. The organizational behavior part, with the core of organization’s behavior and motivation, achieve the teaching object through the main content of individual behavior, organization culture, leadership art, organizational design and organization development. The human resource part takes performance as its core and achieves the teaching object with the main content of job analysis, human resource planning, remuneration management, training and career development. At the end of the course, cross-culture organizational behavior, the relative human resource problems and the leading developing trend of the organizational behavior and human resource management will be emphasized.
