Degree and Certificates
Degree candidates that have obtained required credits (52) are awarded Shanghai Jiao Tong University MBA degree and graduation diploma.
For exchange students, they are required to take at least 3 courses and will be granted a certificate for the successful completion of the exchange study but could not get the MBA degree of SJTU.
Chinese Language Class
Only offered by the School of International Education SJTU, which is not free.

Fall Semester: 1 September 2008 to 18 January 2009 (20 weeks)
(Recess: 20 January 2009 to 16 February 2009 [4 weeks])
Spring Semester: 17 February 2009 to 7 July 2009 (20 weeks)
(Recess: 8 July 2007 to 1 September 2008 [8 weeks])

Tuition
For International applicants, the tuition is RMB 148,000 (for 2008 enrollment),which will be paid annually.
Exchange students are usually exempt from tuition.
For nonexchange students, the tuition is RMB 2,800 per credit; usually one IMBA course is for 3 credits (54 teaching hours).

Living Expenses
Dormitory on campus: room reservation should be made when application. If dormitories are full, we don’t accept any room reservation. The accommodation fees of the university dormitories are paid by semester and will not be refunded if you leave during the semester.

1. Tao Li Yuan:
Standard Shared Double Room
RMB¥45/day/person (approx.US$6)for longterm student,
RMB¥80/day/person(approx.US$10) for shortterm student.
Each room is equipped with bath, color TV, directdial telephone, airconditioner and Internet connection. Additional facilities include kitchen, and refrigerator for public use.
Ordinary Shared Double Room
RMB¥35/day/person (approx.US$5) for longterm student,
RMB¥60/day/person(approx.US$8) for shortterm student.
Each room is equipped with color TV, directdial telephone, air conditioner and internet connection. Additional facilities include bath, kitchen, and fridge for public use.
2. Lian Xing Building:
Single Room
RMB¥70/day (approx.US$9) for longterm student,
RMB¥120/day (approx.US$15) for shortterm student.
Each room is equipped the bath, color TV, directdial telephone, airconditioner and internet connection. Additional facilities include kitchen, fridge and washing machine for public use.
3. No.9 Dormitory Building
Single Room
RMB¥75/day (approx.US$10.5) for longterm student.
RMB¥130/day (approx.US$17.5) for shortterm student.
Each room is equipped with colorTV, directdial telephone, airconditioner, refrigerator, microwave oven, internet connection and bath room for public use.
Students should pay the part of charges for water and electricity that exceeds the monthly quota of RMB¥90. The accommodation fees of the above university dormitories are paid by semester and will not be refunded if you leave during the semester.
Approximate total living costs: 6000 RMB per month

Student Activities
The SJTU MBA Alumni Association (MBAAA) organizes a variety of professional development and social activities during the academic year; most of the events are open to international and exchange students. International and exchange students are encouraged to join the SJTU MBAAA.
MBA Forum is held every Saturday. It provides students with the forefront academic information, advanced management conception and precious business experience. International and exchange students are encouraged to attend.
