Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance [BBA(Acc&Fin)]
The BBA(Acc&Fin) programme provides students with a professional qualification in accounting and the broad-based education necessary for progressing towards a leadership role in the financial sector. It is an approved accountancy programme under the Professional Accreditation System of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). Graduates from the programme are eligible to qualify as professional accountants by successfully completing the Qualification Programme of HKICPA coupled with relevant experience. They are recognised by the HKICPA as accountancy degree graduates and as having fulfilled the stipulated pre-entry educational requirements.

Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] The BBA programme is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in finance, human resource management or marketing. It combines strong, functional training with intensive exposure to languages and computer applications, plus other sciences and social sciences. In the second year of the programme, students can choose to major in finance, human resource management or marketing. Students may also select a second major. The Finance major prepares students for careers as bankers, fund managers, investment consultants, and financial controllers. The courses required in the major combine the most up-to-date ideas pertaining to these areas with applications of the concepts within the Asia-Pacific context. The Human Resource Management major trains students to manage human resources in both profit and non-profit organisations. The courses are designed to prepare students to become members of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. The Marketing major is designed to prepare students for careers in advertising, brand management, and marketing management in multinationals and local companies. The major is unique within Hong Kong in that it offers professional internship opportunities for students; and all graduating students participate in special training programmes in communication, professional image development and social etiquette, which give them a head start in becoming future leading marketers.

Some of these programmes lead to the award of certificates and diplomas and may be conducted with local and international partners. Based at our campus in Hong Kong’s downtown Admiralty Centre, these programmes provide executives with a high impact learning experience that combines the latest management research with the best practice techniques. Its programmes attract executives looking for up-to-the-minute knowledge in areas such as e-business, risk management, logistics and supply chain management, management of change, and service marketing.
The Poon Kam Kai Institute of Management was established in 1990 through a generous donation to the University from Mr. Dickson Poon to advance management education.

Marketing
The Marketing Department continuously strives to achieve excellence in research. The faculty members are renowned for high-quality, cutting-edge research, publishing their work in the top international marketing journals, such as Journal of Marketing Research (JMR), Journal of Consumer Research (JCR) and Marketing Science (MS). The Marketing faculty is ranked seventh in the world in terms of the number of papers published in JMR and JCR in 2000-2006 (ahead of Berkeley, Chicago, Carnegie Mellon, INSEAD, MIT, Stanford and Yale).
The goal of the PhD program is to develop outstanding scholars who are able to secure academic jobs at top international universities and to become first-rate contributors to marketing knowledge.
Our program provides solid training in the theory and methods of various subfields of marketing such as consumer behavior and marketing models. Apart from gaining in-depth knowledge, students gain hands-on experience in the research process from the very early stages of the program.
The faculty is highly committed to the PhD program. State-of-the art courses are offered on themes such as information processing, behavioral game theory, experimental designs, judgment and decision making, choice modeling, and analytical marketing science. These courses and the research training are very demanding but at the same time highly rewarding.
A well-equipped behavioral lab and many opportunities for research collaboration with the faculty contribute to the learning experience. In addition, students benefit from two research centers housed in the Marketing Department – the Center for Experimental Business Research and the Center for Marketing and Distribution. Some of our students have published papers in top research journals. The program offers students a very good intellectual environment and enables them to become outstanding researchers. One recent graduate was selected for the Marketing Science Institute’s Young Scholar Program, one of the highest accolades a young researcher in the field can receive.

HKUST is home to Asia’s premier accounting program, combining world-leading research, award-winning teaching, outstanding students, and a state-of-the-art curriculum to train tomorrow’s leaders. All faculty have PhDs from the world’s foremost universities – Berkeley, Chicago, Carnegie-Mellon, Illinois, London Business School, NYU, Oregon, Oxford, Purdue, Rochester, Texas, UBC, UCLA, Washington and Yale.
In recent years, HKUST topped the world in original research in Accounting published in leading research journals. In 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005, HKUST ranked “Top 10” in the top three journals (Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review), a record unexcelled by any university worldwide.
HKUST is accredited unconditionally by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 1999, HKUST became the first accounting program outside North America to win accreditation from AACSB, the premier accrediting agency for business schools. In 2003, HKUST became the first university outside North America awarded a chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the world’s premier accounting honorary organization.
The research foci of Department of Accounting faculty members are in the following areas: securities pricing, management performance measures, accounting and corporate finance issues in China, East Asia and the US, accounting and capital markets, China law and practice, earnings management, auditing and corporate governance.
The Department hosts the annual international Summer Symposium on Accounting Research on the HKUST campus which is now a significant event on the calendars of accounting academics worldwide.
Our PhD program is one of the best in the Asia Pacific region. It aims to train students to become outstanding researchers and educators. The program is similar in structure and content to those at top universities in the world. The program requires students to go through rigorous course training in the first two years to build up a solid foundation of knowledge on economic theories, statistics/econometrics, finance, as well as accounting. Upon passing the qualifying examination, the student formally enters the dissertation stage. The School of Management of Shenzhen University was established in June 1997, consisting of the Department of Management, the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Soft-science£¬and now it has expaned to 5 departments. They are Dept. of Business Management, Dept. of Human Resource Management, Dept of Information and System Management, Dept of Public Administration and Dept of Marketing.
The school has 83 faculty members, among whom, 17 are professors and 42 are associate professors. Presently, the school has 190 postgraduate students, 2631 full-time undergraduates, 125 international cooperation students and over 4000 part-time students.

CELP Course on English: It is mandatory for all students of undergraduate programs of Southeast University .
For MBA (Regular) Program: At least a Bachelor’s degree having no 3rd Division in any public examination.
For MBA (Executive) program: At least a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ working experience at the executive level. Years of schooling and experience will carry weight.
For MBA (36 credits) Program: At least a 4-year BBA degree from a recognized University/Institute.

Business School at Jilin University,established in 1993,is one of the 56 Chinese Schools which offers MBA degree program and also one of the 23 schools that has an undergraduate major in CPA.

School of Commerce is an entity of Nanjing university. It dates back to Section of Commerce of National Central University and Section of Commerce of Jingling University. The present School of Commerce was established in May, 1988.
School of Commerce is composed of Department of Economics, Department of Business Administration, Department of International Business and Trade, Department of Accounting, Department of Finance, Economic Information Center, and Institute of Demographic Research.
Business Administration is the key discipline of Jiangsu Province. It owns a modernized laboratory of business administration.
The School of Commerce offers 3 programs for professional trainees (finance, marketing, and financial management), 7 bachelor’s degree programs (economics, the science of finance, marketing, international trade, accounting, and finance), 12 master’s degree programs (political economics, national economics, western economics, finance, business administration, MBA, international business and trade, the world economy, accounting, industrial economics, and economy of population, resources and environment), 2 doctoral degree programs (business administration, political economics), and one post-doctoral circulation station (business administration).
The School of Commerce has a faculty of 100, and 80 of them are teachers. There are 26 professors and 30 associate professors now. Over 80% teachers in the school have got master or doctoral degrees.
The School of Business has 90 doctoral students, 800 MA students (500 of them are pursuing for MBA) and 1100 BA undergraduates. Besides, the school has 1800 students receiving adult education, and 1300 students are receiving graduate course training.
In academic field, the School of Business has also gained great achievements. In 1998, the school of Businessaltogether hosted over 300 science and research projects. Besides, the school has published over 320 books and over 1600 essays and theses.
In 1993, with the rectification of then Committee of National Education, the School of Business of Nanjing University was admitted to run a MBA Class in Singapore. Till now, 7 classes of students have graduated. The teaching quality, teaching level and teaching effects have gained wide praises in Singapore. In April, 2000, with the rectification of the Ministry of Education, the School of Business has co-established in Holland “Sino-Dutch International Business Center”. Besides, the School of Business has established fixed inter-university cooperation and communication with universities in the US, Britain, Holland, Austria, Singapore and Japan.
