Education Characteristics of MPM Center:
On one hand, we give prominence to the education on the principles and methods of modern project management (rather than the traditional project management);
On the other hand, emphasize the targeted education and training methods facing different industries or professions, including Investment, Technology, Research and Development Projects, IT projects and Loans, etc.
Operational Mode of MPM Center:
1. Carry out the Double-Tutors System (school instructors and enterprises instructors), which ensures a high level of teaching faculty;
2. Stick to the principle of combination between theory and practice by emphasizing the actual operation;
3. Actively carry out the international exchanges so as to meet the requirements of the international practice;
4. Implement thoroughly a comprehensive cooperation between the enterprises and the school;
5. Integrate the resources to ensure the master education quality of project management and engineering.
The Purposes of MPM Center:
We hold the belief to serve the community, serve the enterprises and serve the students, training the qualified personnel in modern project management for the knowledge-based economy in China.
We devote to developing the Master education on Project Management and Engineering into a practical base to cultivate the qualified senior project management talents for the government, enterprises and modern society. Meanwhile, we aim to develop a cradle and build a bridge to train the new managers under the knowledge-based economy, where the senior management talents could realize their ideals and the great causes.
The MPM Center of Nankai University
Nankai University is one of the first Universities to introduce and carry out the education of Project Management. The Master Education of Engineering Project Management in Nankai University is one of the first Master Educations on Engineering Project Management approved by the Office of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
In order to ensure the high-level education on project management engineering master, Nankai University has specially established a Master of Engineering Project Management Center in Nankai University (Master of Project Management, MPM Center), which is responsible for the overall project management, engineering master’s degree in education and work.
The Center is a specialized agency, linked with Business School of Nankai University, relying on its administration, teaching staff and teaching resources of the Business School, which provides a solid guarantee to train top-level senior modern project managers. Since July 2006, the Center has become the certification and training center for “The Master Education in IPMP”. At present, only eight Universities have been awarded this qualification in China.
Information of International Exchange
The task of International Exchange Dep (IED) is in charge of inviting foreign teachers and arrange their courses. Since 2002 which year EMBA program was established , having gained great achievement, IED invited quite a few foreign and overseas professors ,experts and scholars to give lectures to EMBA stuents gradually.
In addition, IED’s another work is to arrange all the students to visit abroad as well. Up to now , EMBA center of Business School of Nankai University has already organized students to visit USA, Canada, Korea, Europe, Austrilia，some other countries and areas. Furthermore, some global famous enterprises such as Volkswagen CocaCola, Mobil, as well as some well-known international reputation Universities, have been visited by EMBA students already. During the period of visiting abroad, EMBA students absorbed foreign advanced management experience ,broaden their horizons, renew their ideas and harvest rewarding experience.

Degree Office of the State Council authorized Nankai University as one of the first institutions applying EMBA program .
In 1919, upon the founding of Nankai University, the discipline of business administration was establish. Under the guidance of President Zhang Boling’s ideal to govern the country with art, strengthen it with science and enrich it with commerce, the Business School of Nankai University has developed into one of the first institutions to be approved to grant enterprise administration doctoral degree in China, a mobile postdoctoral center of business adiministration, and an institution authorized to grant doctoral degrees on primary disciplines of business administration. The major of enterprise administration has been selected as a key discipline in China.
Relying on Business School of Nankai University , EMBA center established Students Recruiting Dep, Teaching Management Dep, International Exchange Dep and Administration Dep, being in charge of students recruiting tests, teaching management, teacher construction and students communications. Combining with self-features , EMBA center learns from foreign EMBA advanced education experience positively and exerts itself to make use of itself ’s comprehensive courses merits . With the guidance of leaders of Nankai University and hard working of all staff EMBA of Nankai University has achieved great achievement, and good social reputation all over the society. In 2004 (the first time) and 2005, Nankai University won the fifth position in an evaluation of the foremost EMBA programs in Chinese market twice, and won the fourth position in an evaluation of the foremost EMBA programs in Chinese market in 2006.
