MBA Programs at School of Business (UIBE)

MBA Programs
UIBE is China’s first university whose MBA program was recognized in 1988 by New York University after its delegation strictly evaluated the course structure, teaching quality and students’ quality of UIBE’s MBA program. In 1993, UIBE was designated as one of the second group of colleges qualified of awarding MBA degree by the Degree Granting Committee of the State Council and the Commission of Education.
SOB’s MBA program, which features a strong global emphasis, is under the framework of graduate education of UIBE. Student enrollment and degree awarding are undertaken by the Postgraduate Department; educating plans are organized and implemented by the School of International Business Management, with its MBA Office taking charge of daily affairs.
Under the support of the university, SOB ensures the quality of MBA education by inviting professors from the School of International Trade and Economics, the School of International Studies, the School of Law, the Department of Humanities and Public Administration and the School of Information Technology and Management.
To prompt teaching quality, SOB encourages its MBA faculty to build up case studies and provides the teachers with certain support of funds. UIBE also encourages MBA faculty to perform educational innovation, adopt multimedia teaching and carry on case analyzing and discussing.

Postgraduate Managment Programs at School of Business (UIBE)

Postgraduate Programs
SOB trains full-time postgraduates under the master degree program in business management and accounting. The programs offer seven concentrations—international business management, international marketing, foreign trade quantitative analysis, manufacturing and service system management, international accounting, cost and management accounting, and financial management.
Applicants for the master’s program must have a bachelor’s degree. There is no requirement for their undergraduate major. Given the international orientation of SOB’s graduates, students are highly recommended to have a good mastery of English and quantitative analysis skills. SOB will provide students with a solid theoretical foundation, advanced techniques and analytical capabilities by means of flexible and diversified training. SOB will also improve their communicating skills and leadership quality, in order to make them professionally competent.

Undergraduate Managment Programs at School of Business (UIBE)

Undergraduate Programs
Undergraduate programs focus on training students’ basic skills and knowledge structure, with an aim of improving students’ capabilities in self-learning and problem solving with the help of a broad knowledge structure. In 2002, SOB has began allowing students to choose their majors after two years of study. The scheme involves a platform of common undergraduate courses, which provides the students with a curriculum consisting of basics of political theory, moral and humane studies, mathematics, foreign languages, information technology, economics, management and law. This training mode will facilitate the strengthening of students’ quality and the improving of students’ comprehensive capabilities, and will provide them with greater space and freedom for developing their personality.
