Admission Requirements

Applicants are judged on the basis of academic record and letters of recommendation.

The basic qualification necessary for admission to research postgraduate studies is a good honors degree from this University or an equivalent qualification from comparable institutions. Applicants for the four-year PhD degree should have a bachelor’s degree at second class honours upper division or above and a taught master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree at first class honours. Applicants for the three-year PhD degree should hold a Bachelor’s degree at 2nd class honors upper division or above and a research Master’s degree.

Applicants from institutions outside Hong Kong where the language of teaching and/or examination is not English are required to obtain a paper-based score of not less than 550 or a computer-based score of not less than 213 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). TOEFL scores more than two years old will not be accepted. Qualifying examinations to test the applicants’ ability to follow the prescribed courses may be conducted.

For applicants in the School of Business, they are required to take either GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examinations). GMAT and GRE scores more than five years old will not be accepted.

Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance [BBA(Acc&Fin)]

The BBA(Acc&Fin) programme provides students with a professional qualification in accounting and the broad-based education necessary for progressing towards a leadership role in the financial sector. It is an approved accountancy programme under the Professional Accreditation System of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). Graduates from the programme are eligible to qualify as professional accountants by successfully completing the Qualification Programme of HKICPA coupled with relevant experience. They are recognised by the HKICPA as accountancy degree graduates and as having fulfilled the stipulated pre-entry educational requirements.

Graduates of the BBA(Acc&Fin) degree are also eligible for maximum exemption from professional examinations organised by the Association of C

The MPM Center of Nankai University

Nankai University is one of the first Universities to introduce and carry out the education of Project Management. The Master Education of Engineering Project Management in Nankai University is one of the first Master Educations on Engineering Project Management approved by the Office of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.
In order to ensure the high-level education on project management engineering master, Nankai University has specially established a Master of Engineering Project Management Center in Nankai University (Master of Project Management, MPM Center), which is responsible for the overall project management, engineering master’s degree in education and work.
The Center is a specialized agency, linked with Business School of Nankai University, relying on its administration, teaching staff and teaching resources of the Business School, which provides a solid guarantee to train top-level senior modern project managers. Since July 2006, the Center has become the certification and training center for “The Master Education in IPMP”. At present, only eight Universities have been awarded this qualification in China.

Application Qualification

College degree or above;

8 or over 8 years’ working experience, and 5 or more than 5 years’ experience in management position.

According to the current announcement from Academic Degree Committee of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, the EMBA program of SJTU can enroll less than 30 excellent senior managers or entrepreneurs who have college degree in each year.

Application Procedures

The applicant can come to the EMBA office of Antai Management School for the “Shanghai Jiao Tong University EMBA Pre-application Form” or fill out the application information online.

After the preliminary examination of the qualifications, we will inform the qualified applicants who shall fill out the official Application Form. The applicant is required to submit all the application materials and application fee. The examination notice will be sent to eligible applicants after the qualification evaluation.

Take part in the EMBA matriculation exam which includes written exam (comprehensive quality test) and interview.

Decision for successful application will be based on the scores of the written and oral exam, while the learning ability, career achievements, leadership skills, and individual potential will also be taken into consideration.

Application Fee

800 RMB for applicants.

Tuition

The tuition fee includes all the expenses of classroom teaching, textbooks, materials, translation, use of school resources (library, computer center, etc), thesis presentation, and coffee breaks. The accommodation and transportation and the overseas field trip study are not included.
