Scholarship Related Inquiries
Applicants who are interested in applying for the Japanese government scholarship etc. should submit the following materials.
Research Plan
Educational background :Curriculum vitae including any awarded degree(s), undergraduate (and graduate if applicable) transcripts, and a letter of recommendation
Financial Plan
(Optional ) Proficiency of Japanese and English languages (copies of your test scores e.g., TOEFL, TOEIC, Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). The level of the English or Japanese proficiency required for communicating with your advisor are approximately equivalent to scores of 550 (213 for computer-based test) for TOEFL, 730 for TOEIC, 200 for “Japanese as a Foreign Language” section of EJU, or Level 2 for JLPT. However, you need a higher level of Japanese ( or English in some cases) proficiency for understanding lectures, reading and writing papers, and debating in seminars in our graduate program.
